Boycott Commonwealth Games, India 2010

I hope you will join me in this early effort to encourage people around the world to boycott the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India next year. The reason is clear. In order to make pretty the city of New Delhi, to pretend to be something it is not the city is destroying the make-shift homes of hundreds of people, razing their huts and shacks without even a moments notice. Some of these families have lived in these homes for 20 years, and they work in a variety of trades in New Delhi. New Delhi's mayor uses the excuse that these people are squatting on land that does not qualify for relocation. We insist that every person is relocated and until so this boycott will be spread across the Internet not only on this web site but thousands more.
